Glendale, October 21, 2014 – The Campbell Center (formerly GAR) will hold its annual Bowl-A-Thon at Pickwick Lanes in Burbank on November 2, 2014.  Now in its 22nd year, this fun event has become a much-anticipated tradition over the years, bringing together bowlers and supporters from Glendale, Burbank, La Canada Flintridge, Pasadena, Los Feliz and surrounding communities for an afternoon of fun and fundraising.  Funds raised will help The Campbell Center to continue to providing its quality programs and services to its developmentally-disabled Client population.

The 24 participating bowling teams will compete for several awards, including First Place Team trophy; First, Second and Third Place Male and Female trophy; First Place Male Client and First Place Female Client medallion — all in a spirit of camaraderie and goodwill.  Each Team of four will be complemented by a Client.  Some of our Clients are ace bowlers and compete in the Special Olympics Bowling tournament.

The day will include a buffet lunch, bowling tournament and lots and lots of fun.  “I can’t wait to be part of a team at this year’s Bowl-A-Thon like I have many times in the past years and compete for first place,” said Gregory J., a Client of The Campbell Center since 1989 and an accomplished bowler.

Sponsorships ranging from $750 to $300 are still available, as are spaces for teams.  Teams of four Bowlers are $125 each; Client Sponsorship is $35 each.  The Campbell Center Bowl-A-thon is a sold out event every year and team spaces fill out fast and will be assigned lanes on a first-come, first-served basis.  Deadline for event Sponsorship is October 27.  .  Deadline for team registration and Client Sponsorship is October 29.  For information about event Sponsorship and marketing benefits, or to reserve your team lane, or to sponsor a Client, contact Rita Tomassian-Hopkins at 818.242.2434, ext. 312 or by e.mail at rita@thecampbell.org.
