On Saturday, September 20, nearly 250 guests were in attendance at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale to support and help The Campbell Center (TCC) celebrate the 60th Anniversary of its founding.
With actress Mariette Hartley serving as Mistress of Ceremonies and entertainment by Kori Withers, daughter of legendary singer/songwriter Bill Withers, the evening was a huge success. Especially memorable was Todd Withers, son of Bill Withers and a Client of TCC, who accompanied his sister at the mic. The Program included touching tributes to TCC founders Phyllis and Jerry Campbell who received the Lifetime Achievement Award; Western Drug, recipient of the Corporate Partner Hero of the Year Award; the Caregiver Family Hero of the Year Award went to the Deranja family whose son, Peter, is a Client of TCC.
Also on hand for the celebration were Supervisor Mike Antonovich, Glendale City Council member Paula Devine and Glendale PD Chief Bob Castro. The evening included many special moments – from special inspiration remarks by Mr. Withers to a balloon drop to cap off the celebration.
Special thanks to all our supporters. The evening would not have been possible without their generosity.
